NAPLAN results - maybe some Ts teaching (for the test) to produce 'better' results- loads of pressure for 'improved performance scores'. Overloaded with content to cover, the RBT may be viewed as a more practical model in the classroom by some - churn through the content .TLs Resource Based Learning model focus on students learning 'how to learn' student centered, purposeful -in line with QT practice. TL is in unique position as a specialist hence vital for collaboration between Ts & TLs as "essential teaching partners"(Haycock)
TL has a particular role, a teacher focusing to support teaching and learning programs of the school, management of the school's information services and sources, and a teacher of 'understanding and using information'.
